Balcony on the Sea Trail

Suitable for families and children, it is certainly one of the most scenic itineraries of all those proposed.
After a steep climb among terraces of olive trees along one of the last “cobblestones” in Liguria, the path becomes flat and crosses for over 1 km the cliffs of Varigotti (hence the name “Balcony on the sea“). The panorama is extraordinary and the path crosses a strip of Mediterranean vegetation of rare beauty and characteristic scents. We find among the most important aromatic species: rosemary, thyme, savory and lavender.
Not to be missed at the end of the itinerary is a visit to the suggestive Church of San Lorenzo overlooking the Bay of the Saracens.
